| The Pawtuckaway Open and Chili Bowl offer fun and excitement for duffers and pros alike as well as the best chili you can possibly find in New Hampshire. Once again, the event is being held as a fund raiser to benefit New Hampshire-based Families in Transition. |
How we run the tournament
|
We set up a nine hole course on the lake. We use an ice auger to dig holes that are usually a couple of inches
deep and about three times the diameter of a normal golf cup. The course is about the same length as nine holes on a
grass course and takes approximately the same amount of time.
Greens Fees are $20.00 -- that includes golf, chili, and a players gift.
For more information on how we run the event, read our rules and tips.
The event is held rain, snow or shine. Need to practice before the event? Visit the heated bays at Twin Pines Driving Range . |
The chili competition
| How do you feed a bunch of winter golfers? A chili competition, of course. Make your best batch and enter the contest. All attendees vote for the top three prizes. The fee for food/chili eating is $10 per person. |
How we raise money
| The donations come from golf and chili entry fees, hole sponsorships, which are a $150 tax-deductible donation to Families in Transition, and other donations. Learn more about sponsorships. |
The Prizes
| It's a fun event for a great cause. Even if you don’t play golf, come to cook or eat chili, cheer on the players, have fun in the snow, and support Families in Transition. |
